“The body benefits from movement and the mind benefits from stillness.”

My yoga journey started 28 years ago. I just fell in love with it, and it quickly became a daily practice for me. It was a natural progression for me to train as a a teacher and start teaching at first in East Clare Yoga and The Barn in Killaloe. I now also teach in Nenagh, Co Tipperary and Ogonnelloe, Co Clare.

Although I started yoga for the physical benefits, it has strengthened my mind-body connection, which has improved my quality of life. Watching my students improve and slowly fall in love with yoga is always a source of great joy.

Yoga has always brought me back to myself, who I am and what my values are. I feel very blessed to have Yoga at the very foundation of my life.

I trained in the Iyengar Tradition with Aisling Guirke in Dublin, Ireland’s most senior Iyengar Yoga teacher. Following that, I attended courses with renowned teachers worldwide, including the Iyengar family in Puna, India.

I qualified as a physical therapist in 2011 in order to bring a new dimension to my teaching and an interest in using Yoga to help people improve body movement and overcome physical issues.

Kind Words

“Lisa greets everyone with a warm, welcoming smile, which immediately makes you feel happy you made her class. Yoga for me is my reset button! It’s my time out - for me! It releases any negative energy held in my body through breathing & movement. In a busy world,  it’s more important than ever for us  to just stop & breathe. Lisa’s class is life ! For me anyway!”
